I still have lots to do, but at least for now nothing is a rush rush. I may miss a day once in a while but I hope to be back to posting every week day, fingers and kitty paws crossed!
On to today's post!
Can someone explain this to me?
Leo: I don't have to explain anything. I'm a cat. I'm an enigma. I do what I want.
All of the kitties always eat sitting on the carpet in front of the bowls. But now, a few times, Leo has done this! It's hard to see, but there is a part of a wall, a chair and a table kind of boxing him in from this position. He looks squished to me! It's just weird!
Ok, I know some of you are going to say that the toys are in the way and he had to go there to get around them. Wrong! They always always have toys in front of, beside, and sometimes in those dishes and the tray and they still eat from the front.
On a side note, I'm not really sure who the toy mover is. We find toys everywhere but we don't see anyone shoving those in close to the food dishes.
So, what's he doing? Think he's afraid of a rear attack? Keeping an eye on us to make sure no one sneaks up? Looking to see if someone will take pity and fill that obviously empty bowl (how dare we let it get down half way! Shocking!)
I sure as heck don't know what he's thinking, goofy boy!

That Leo, sometimes he is just a mystery!
P.S. After hearing about all the work you are having to go through for this wedding, and the last one, my human has decided to either go to City Hall or elope! MOL
Chuck and Angel jockey for position at every meal; sometimes they won't dare touch the carpet square under the bowls, other times they won't touch the wood floor. AND they always switch bowls, which the 'o' cats do too. I cannot figure out why they do that switcheroo, so I don't try to figure out the rest.
What a sweet kitty, I wish I could adopt her. I pray she gets her forever home soon.
just keeping you guessing. Daiquiri stands on the edge of the water bowl (she is going to have to stop that soon if she keeps growing) and drinks from the opposite side. :)
Leo why do you squish yourself on the tray to get at your food when you could lounge on the carpet and eat?
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
HM, well WE wonder if he's thinking he has a better view to see if the girls are sneaking up to steal his foods from that angle! Wishing you a forever home very soon, Traci Mae!
Leo is incredibly funny! Mes thinks he does these things and he does them to keeps yous on your toes!

HAH! That’s a new one.
BTW, I’m doing a Adopted Cat A to Z feature on my blog doing April. Does Winnie’s Wish want to participate. I’m looking for adoptable cats whose names start with e-j right now and new permission to use pics and bios. Email or PM me on FB. Thanx.
It has always seemed to me to be just a security measure against threats from behind.
Julius used to do this with the water fountain and never food. Davout does it with fountains sometimes too.
bless your heart dear Tracy. We hope you get adopted very soon... we wish you could at least get a foster so you can be in a home environment.
now about Leo... we thinks he is guarding hims territory... if the toys move, he knows another kitty am coming!
-Joey who am furry smart about these things.
It's working for Leo, so why question his technique?
I sure hope Traci Mae finds her forever home soon.
We say he's in a defensive position...we do the same thing!
That looks like he's not comfortable sharing the food resource with the others when he can't see them coming. Feeding the kitties in separate spots might help. It did here.
Poor Tracy Mae. We sure hope she finds a forever home soon! We will share and we hope you have a very Happy Easter!
Maybe Leo is afraid someone's going to take his food?
Paws crossed for that pretty Traci Mae!
