Leo here. Mommy was gone a WHOLE WEEK at the end of November.
Then she was gone a WHOLE WEEK at the end of December.
Then she left at the end of January and she is still not back.
This is Andrea's husband Greg. I don't know how to tell Leo, Glitter and Cashmere that their mommy went to be with our old cat Star up in heaven. She passed away 2/16/2024 around 6 am holding my hand with a crochet kitty on her chest. One last plug please consider donating to Winnie's Wish in Andrea's memory.

Greg and family, while I didn't know Andrea personally, I followed her blog for MUCH of the 14 years that she blogged and was quite familiar with all that she was devoted to helping animals, and her own fur babies. We haven't blogged in quite a long while, but I remember Andrea with great affection. She was so dedicated to the welfare of kitties, her own of course, but also to the ones helped by Winnie's Wish. I am saddened beyond words. Though I rarely commented, I have followed the Celestial Kitties for years, and have kept up with Andrea's fundraising efforts through Winnie's Wish. I am very, very saddened by this. Godspeed, Andrea, and God bless those she has left behind.

TBT here: Gregg, I express my sorrow for you and the kitties. You understand what happened, but they may never quite will. All they will ever really know is that "Mom is gone".
This change in your life is so hard. I have lost both parents and a sister, but it is not the same. Marriage is different from family. Saying "thoughts to you" seems so inadequate. But be assured that Andrea was loved in the Cat Blogosphere and will be very missed there.
