When the leaves start changing, this tree is the prettiest ever! The front of the tree goes first, the tips start going bright red, then it slowly moves up the leaf until it's all red. Here is the branch we can see from the living room that Greg is threatening to cut off because it's so low.
What's funny is that while the front is turning, the back is mainly green:
In the few days since Greg took these pictures for me, the red has creeped up further on the front leaves, and the back leaves have turned golden. Weird huh?
I bet I know what you're thinking.. Where's the dang kitties! Ok ok, let me show off Leo who is using the new cat width window sill. Please note that not a speck of work has continued on either the rest of the window or the cat Skywalk... sigh. And now it's starting to get cold.. Another winter with no curtains? Looks that way..
Oh, the sill standing! Here you go!
I's only half using it, mom, does it count?
Yes, Leo, it does.
Please note that it was a bright day and Leo was all shadow until I severely lightened that picture.. Here's the original:
I wish wish wish I could take pictures like some of you out there do...
PS. We blatantly stole the 'not a garden tour' idea from Spitty.. Now we need Star to head over to give him some licks and snuggles so he doesn't mind too much..

Nice photo of the leaves, and a good job on lightening up the Leo photo.
We don't have a great camera, either. 10 years old, only 2 megapixels. The lady is always trying different things with it
(flash on; flash off. 'macro' on or off). And, thank goodness for software that helps manipulate the photos!
Leo, you look super comfy!
Leo, you look like you can't decide how to use the sill!
Our trees don't change color because we don't have autumn (or spring or winter) so I really love trees in fall pictures.
Leo, that cat tree is too small for you. That sill is long enough to hold your entire body AND tail!
We don't have the traditional seasons, either, so autumn photos are beautiful. Here, in January, the deciduous trees will suddenly say "I was supposed to WHAT?" and drop their leaves all of a sudden as if they were embarrassed.
A cat windowsill is a good thing, Leo. Every pose you can find to use while gazing out at the wild is acceptable!
What pretty leaves on your tree in your not garden.
We like the shadowy picture of Leo.
Your tree is very pretty. It looks like Leo is watching the leaves change. We like watching the leaves change colors, too.
We usually love to see the leaves changing colour but all the torrential rain and earlier than usual dark nights have spoilt our autumn this year.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
with the storm blowing through today, we don't think too many leaves here are going to get the chance to change. :)
I LIKE the Not a Garden Tour TOO! I may do that!
I AM one of those people "who goes nuts when the leaves change" I think they are gorgeous and every year I am in awe of their magic!
I enjoyed your NOT tour, and it really is a cool idea!
Your not-a-garden looks very nice!
We love your NOT garden very much! The pictures you took are so pretty and of course our most favourite is the last one :) purrrs
Oh well, don't feel bad, we don't have a garden either except for a few sad flowers and our trees are nt changing colors either. So we join your group. Take care.
We LOVE the Not-A-Garden idea! We saw it at Spitty's too. Glogirly couldn't grow a dandelion if her life depended on it.
And we think your photos a furry nice!!! : )
xo Katie
Is that you Leo? Look like TW took the foto! Love your maple tree. Are those the ones who drop those polly noses?
If you want to feel good about your photography, go to our blog and look at ours!
Hmmm, our mom never thought of trying to lighten photos. Maybe she'll have to give it a try. She just posts them as is. Sad. Anyway, thanks for the idea.
errrrr..ummmm..ahhhh...Leo...go back to the darker lighting...in the REAL light, it makes your butt, well...ummmm...your butt looks bigger
What? The cat Skywalk isn't ready yet?

I am delighted to share the Not-A-Garden-Tour concept with anykitty who would like to adopt it!
Course, I'd feel even BETTER about it if Star came on over and licked my sweet little head and washed my ears for me. XOXOXO
