Terrible Awful Bad Picture and Opt to Adopt Blog Hop

Oh my friends, have we had a day! Monday marked two weeks since we adopted Glitter and Cashmere! Yay for that! But wow, it was not a good day for three out of four kitties! Well, the fourth was kinda freaked out, so I guess it was not a good day for all four!

Star had two mats in her ruff, she did not like having them cut out. Leo had two huge mats where his thighs meet his body. I got most of them, but he was too upset for me to continue, poor guy. And poor poor Glitter. I think she might be adjusting to the change in food.. She required a bloomer trim. She was completely freaked out at being held and Greg has the marks to prove it. But I got it all so she won't have to have a second go around like poor Leo will one day soon.

Cashmere alone escaped the scissors. But the others getting picked up, held against their wills, grumbling, and getting worked over by nervous humans, well, it was too much for her. She hid! I think she thought she was next. I've pet her all over, she alone is not matting up. Lucky girl.

Here's something funny. When we finished with Star, she slunk in a window behind a chair. When we finished with Glitter, she went back to half empty treat bowls and had a snack. Now cowering, not worried she'd be picked up again. When we finished with Leo, he went back to the half empty treat bowls for a snack, only slightly concerned about being picked up again proven by his keeping an eye on us. Family trait? There are more things like that happening around here that I'll be sharing as we go on. I find it all very interesting.

On to the Terrible Awful Bad Picture! Something else new has come into our house! Can you tell what it is in this horribly lit blurry picture??

Today I'm sharing two Winnie's Wishers who just happen to be sisters, but they don't have to be adopted together. In fact Circe was adopted before into the same home as my Glitter and Cashmere and another Winnie's Wisher named Teddy. They were not treated well and thankfully were returned. Now I have my girls and Circe is still waiting for her real home, her real people, to show up. (So's Teddy!)

Tibby Bean, Circe's sister has never been adopted and is a shy girl. She will take a while to warm up but I have no doubt that she'll be a wonderful family member to whoever adopts her! My Cashmere was a shy girl, and I was told that she would take a while to warm up too, but after only two weeks I think she's even friendlier than Glitter! So you never really know until they get to their home, do you?

Won't you give one of these girls a chance? Won't you share them with your friends, and ask them to share them, so that somewhere down the line, we can find homes for these precious kitties?

The Winnie's Wish cathouse is over full. We need to get more than just these two kitties into homes. Please please help find homes! Transport can be worked out to about anywhere! There are Winnie's Wishers all over the country and into Canada, we can get them to you!

Please check out the sidebar of the Daily Dose blog to see all the adoptable Winnie's Wishers! Thank you!

Well, for a "bad" experience, it all went rather well, didn't it?

We're puzzled by the hint…

When the human gets injured, that's not a good day, but frightened, unhappy cats are not good either. But the worst is done; you'll figure out something so next time is less freaky, I'm sure.

Is that a new tree?

Trimming is always traumatic for everyone. Newton has to go to the vet for his armpit manscaping because he is so strong that the peeps can't hold him and trim him safely. Paws up salute to you two for managing it with your kitties!

The only one here who gets mats is Boodie - and she does not get them as much anymore since my human started giving her and Binga canned, grain-free cat food only.

Not sure what's new at your place!

We really SHOULD accept shaving around our butts!

I used to have to do Admiral's mats she got in her pantaloons. Her chest and tummy furs were curly and when she got ill, her furs matted. It was awful getting them out. I finally got them trimmed back at the vet's.

What good looking cats. Sounds like a full house. I hope you can find homes for these two and more. Every cat deserves a good human :)
