At least once a day she will tear up to the top, sing a few notes to make sure Leo and I know she's queen of the hill, then she'll race down again, run up and down the stairs and then head back up to start all over again! She's nuts, that girl!
One time I watched her noisily climb up, not get over the top but start noisily scooting back down backwards, almost reach the bottom, start back up again, then down then up, then down, then she flew into the living room as if to say TA DA!
So the big question was, will Leo get up there too?
He'd been standing on the landing, reaching up as high as he could without leaving the ground. He would gaze longingly at the top, but just couldn't bring himself to get up there.
Finally, I heard some mad scrambling claws and looked over to see if Star was on a climbing rampage again. But it was not Star!
This is what I saw!
Um, it's a little squishy up here for a large mancat..
He was nervous, and Greg went to see if he needed help getting down, but before he could get there.. You won't believe what the big goofy mancat did..
He leaped from there onto another box spring that is sitting sideways in the dining room. Yes, my heart went so far up my throat that I thought it would pop out of my mouth and flop around on the floor like a gasping goldfish..
All was well, Leo made his way to the floor from there, and has decided that being king of the hill is not something he cares to aspire to.
I think I'm ok with that. And so is Star

It's always scary when they take leaps, but fortunately, Leo is strong and healthy. He knew his abilities. Still scary for you, though!
Maxwell: That's okay dood, not all of us are cut out to play George of the Jungle and swing from rafters and such. Me, I'm good with ol' terra firma. And the bed. Can't forget the bed.

Maybe it's a big floofy mancat thing. Quill is a ground dweller. He doesn't like to get up high.
Thank goodness matress climbing is not Leo's favorite thing or mommy might have heart failure!

Ha ha ha! He does not look nearly so safe and comfortable as Miss Star is up there. It doesn't sound as though he is as graceful and limber as my sweetie! I would like to drop over later and check that thing out--no guarantee I'd climb up there, but I would love to watch the darling Star XOXOXOXO
