Leo The Chinese Lion

Leo's taking over the blog today.

Hello kitties, doggies, peoples and all other critters!

I am totally on the strut! High steppin', tail wavin' S. T. R. U. T! Know why??

Did ya see yesterday over at Daily Dose! Miss Chrystal said some awfully nice things about my mommy and us over here! Mommy was all blushin' and aw shucks like!

But today! Today is more awesome because Miss Chrystal is talkin' about ME! And even better, most awesomest of all! She's talkin' about my sisters!

I don't know if you all heard, but my sisters had been adopted, along with two other Winnie's Wishers, but that family broke up and all four kitties were sent back to Miss Chrystal. That was the best thing that could have happened to them, but I'm not gonna, as mommy puts it, 'tell tails out of school' so I'll just say that my sissies deserve a really great home!

You wonderful peoples, kitties, doggies and other critters can help make a wonderful ending here, know how? All ya gots ta do is go over to today's post at Daily Dose and share it on facebook, tweet the link on twitter, email and tell your kitty friendly friends and cross fingers, paws, hooves, toes and even eyes that they, or someone THEY know are THE perfect home for my sissies! (I mean, if that home isn't yours!)

Oh yeah! I hear there may be kitten pictures over there!!

Just in case you forgot what my pretty sissies look like now, here's their adoption posters!

Thank you, everyone, for all your help!! We loves you!!!!!

Lazy Monday

Late edit: They're talking about us over at Daily Dose today!

We had a bad weekend, daddy Greg was/is sick sick sick. He's still sick and we are going to make him go to the doctor today.

All that to say.. we're recycling pictures today! These are some of my favorite pictures of Star from a few years ago. The second one is actually the background on my cell phone. She's such a pretty girl!

Please remember the Winnie's Wish kitties need homes!

Leo's Tunnel

I love my bench. Yes, it's in the way, but it's perfect for when I'm sewing or doing projects. I keep a quilt on it because it does get a little hard after a while. Leo thinks this makes a wonderful tunnel!

Star doesn't use it, she prefers the top side. And she always seems to forget that Leo might be hanging out under it. She'll be walking by, all innocent and pretty, and whap! A paw comes flying out and smacks her foot! Or if she goes by the end, he'll jump out and give her a poke in the butt before he high tails it back under! Of course, she retaliates and whaps back at him. But like I said, she doesn't go under for the most part, so she's limited to however long he stays within reach.

Scanning... Come on, I know you're out there somewhere..

Whoops.. uh, hi daddy. I'm just sittin' here, mindin' my own business.. Honest! So, uh, can you remove your toes from my tunnel? Please?

Alright, back to business.. scannin.. Oo! There she is! Patience.. She'll be in poking distance soon, hee hee hee

Yeah, he's a goober like that.

Here's another Winnie's Wisher waiting for a home! Won't you share her with everyone you know? You never know who might step up and take in a sweet kitty who needs a forever home!

Box Love

We feel so honored, both Katie Isabella and Nellie, the Cat from Hell, gave us an award! The same award! Thank you both!

It's the Share the Love, Share the Box Award!

And since Katie gave it specifically to Star, here's a picture of Star on a box of boxes!

If mom had left this box open, I could be laying on the boxes inside the box. Wouldn't that be awesome?

We're supposed to pass it on to five people. We choose:

Pugs & Purrs (Well, the purrs, not sure pugs do boxes?)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please help find homes for the Winnie's Wishers! They are over full and need lots of adoptions soon!
Here are a few who want forever families
Moose in the Snow
We have been hit by the snow fairy around here! My mother is just a few miles north of us but she seems to have even a touch more than we do. Her kitty, Sir Moose-a-lot Goodyear Roadkill Thunderbottom is NOT happy about this. He insists on going outside every day and this stuff is cramping his style!
Just a note on how he's doing since we lost my dad, Moose's best buddy; he's starting to be more affectionate with other people. He used to reserve most of his attentions for my dad, but now he's letting other people hold him and pet him. The only thing he won't do is sleep with my mom. He slept with my dad all the time, naps and overnight. If my dad was heading to bed, he'd say "Come on, Moose" and the big ol' boy would bounce on down the hall with him! My mom says that he will occasionally get on the bed, but by the time she's done getting her breathing mask and everything set up, he's lost patience with all her movements and leaves. But all in all he's doing very well. If only we could all snap back as well as a cat, right?
Back to the snow. Moose still screams to be let out and begs at the door, but once that door is open, he looks up like he's saying, "Are you kidding me?!" I do not blame him in the least for staying inside, it's too freaking cold!
Here you can see his paw prints go out and circle right back in again, don't even get to shut the door!
Just who's responsible for covering my yard with all this cold stuff?
And here's what he was looking at out there. The little foot prints you see on the sidewalk are bird prints because my mother puts corn on the walks instead of salt. (She leaves a short layer of snow and puts the corn down for traction, personally I prefer clear walks and salt!)
What looks like people footprints are actually squirrel butt prints! He jumps from spot to spot, sits and digs for buried corn. That's the sidewalk that had been shoveled the day before.
See the 'hats' of snow the bird feeders are wearing?
This is Moose's backyard, it took two days to accumulate that much snow on the grill. It's deeper than he is tall!
I had a couple of videos I wanted to share, but they won't load, grr. I'll try again with them tomorrow maybe.
Here's a still from one of them, Moose at the door watching birds! Oh boy does he want to get at them, but not enough to go out in the snow!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'll be sharing a different Winnie's Wisher or two every day as they are over full and are in serious need of adopters! If you know anyone who needs some furry love, please direct them to the Daily Dose side bar and all the available kitties who are hoping for forever homes!

(Most orange cats are boys, Tinkerbell is a girl, wouldn't you like a rare beauty in your home?!)

Merry Little Christmas

Considering that today is Little Christmas, (also known as Epiphany, the day after the 12th day of Christmas), this seems like a good time to share these pictures of the kitties during Christmas preparations. There have been less hostilities, perhaps they were trying to get on Santa's good list.

I saw this going on and thought Leo was pushing his luck, but everything was fine, so I guess I worried for nothing. You can see Star is watching him from the corner of her eye, that's because she uses that wrapping paper box as a bridge to get to that laundry basket. They were stepping distance from each other.

Star: I see you there. Any closer and I may have to put the smacky paw down..

Leo: Oh, hi! I didn't see you there before!
Star: Right, like you're not trying to trap me, thinking I can't get down. Well I can, even if I have to go through you, so there.
Leo: Yikes, don't get your princess bloomers in a bunch, I'm just sitting here!

Leo: Oh hi everyone. Now you can all see how I get blamed for Princess Hissyface's issues!
Star: Uh huh, raise your paws if you think giant ornery butt is the one at fault here!

~~~~~~~~~~~
Over at Winnie's Wish, they are now four kitties over the limit, finally having the last kitty returned from a broken home situation. They are desperate for homes, good homes! So please share them with everyone. I'll be posting at least one poster a day of the ones looking for homes. But you can see them all on the Daily Dose sidebar!
Pretty Princess
Star is such a princess that she's sleeping on a pillow leaning on a big pink back pillow. I think she looks pretty content, don't you?
ZZZzzzzzzzz purrrrrrrrrr
