Fluffy Sleeper

Greg got this picture on his cell the other day and sent it to me. Now is this cute or what??

He looks so chubby there, but he's such a lean kitty! My dad even commented that he was thin. Of course, my dad is used to looking at and holding his giant round Sir Moose-A-Lot Roadkill Goodyear Thunderbottom! No, Leo is mostly fluff and fur, definitely not fat!

You have no idea how badly I want to snorgle that tummy... one day I'm going to risk the extra claws and do it anyway!

Couch Sharing and Big Announcement!

Ok, I've had it with waiting for blogger to fix itself.. So I uploaded to photobucket and shared them that way. What a huge pain in the behind! But I wanted to use some new pictures!

 

So today I'm finally sharing those pictures of the couch sharing that I was trying to show the other day. Leo was on one end of the couch, Star was on the other end. At the same time! Shocker!

 

When Leo was new here, he'd sneak up on the back of the couch, one of Star's favorite spots at the time. He'd wait til she was asleep and then get on the cushion right next to her. But once she realized what he was up to, she totally gave up that spot. Leo took it over alone for a while. Then for a long time, no one slept up there.

 

Recently Star had been getting up there again. Leo wasn't interested because he had the Royal Footstool and his tree! Then out came the butterfly blanket, which Star LOVES. Leo does not seem to like it and he refuses to lay on the Royal Footstool if it's there. Too girly?? Anyway, so then he started sleeping up on the back of the couch again!

 

And now this week, both of them were on it, at the same time!  Granted, there's a whole section between them. But they are still sharing!

 

 

Leo: I know she's on the other end, but if we all stay quiet, maybe she wont notice me..

 

 

 

 

Star: I wake up with an itch and you have to take a picture? *sigh*



 

 

 

 

Leo: Keepin' a low profile.. shhh

 

Star: I know you're there, you're not fooling anyone, you big barbarian.

 

Leo: You know I'm here, and you're not trying to hand me my butt? Cool, then I'm going back to sleep! Night Princess Hissyface.

They did go back to sleep then!

 

Ok, I have to let you know that the nasty look she's throwing at Leo is more about her just waking up and the flash, she wasn't really glaring at him that badly!

I can't believe it's been this long and I haven't given the results of the Winnie's Wish Christmas Fundraiser! You guys rock! We raised $362!! Greg said we needed to round that up though, so because of you all, Chrystal and Winnie's Wish have a check for $400!

 

The FUN FUN FUNdraiser in September raised $1062, so that's a huge grand total of $1462 that is going to help keep the Cathouse cats in food, litter, medicine, spay and neuters, vaccines and all the other things that kitties need to keep them safe and healthy! Do you know how awesome that is!

Big Thing!

Today is the 10th day of Christmas! And we're finally getting to enjoy it because we're about over being sick! Whew! So Merry Christmas everyone!


The kitties of Mark's Mews gived us an awardie! We feel so special that they think we're The Next Big Thing! Thank you guys!

I would love to post a picture of it.. And of the kitties. But for some reason I cant upload anything today. The little button won't even show up!  I don't know what's going on, but if it gets fixed later today I'll update.

And if I can, I'll post pictures of the kitties SHARING the couch! I don't know about you, but that excites me! No fights at all today and they are both on the back of the couch. One on one side, one on the other! Whoo hoo! That's a big thing around here!

Saga of the Butterfly Blanket

We rejoin our butterfly blanket story after I finally got a chance to use it. Then I had to get up so I left it draped over the Royal Footstool to await my return. However, when I returned, there was drama playing out!

Star: I have the blanket.. but something.. is amiss..

 

 

 

Leo: Criminey, I hope she doesn't notice me under here...

Star: I'll have to do an inspection. Something is.. off, I just know it!

 

 

 

Star: Aha! I see you under there! You cannot have my blanket!

Leo: Eep! I'm not after your stinky ol' blankey, I just wanna sit under the Royal Footstool Fort!

 

 

 

Star: Oh, hello mom. No, you may not have the blanket.

Leo: Mommy! Uh... I'm just playing fort. I wasn't gonna jump out at anyone. Honest! sheesh..

 

 

 

Star: Are you still there?

Leo: Uh.. no one here but us dust bunnies..

Star: Right.. Hey mom, isn't it time for your nap?

Leo: oh boy...

 

 

 

There were no fisticuffs, or pawsicuffs! The situation resolved peacefully! Yay!

Who's Blanket?

So that butterfly blanket I got out the other day, that Star took over so I had to stay cold? Well, she's at it again! Only this time it's double good because it's on The Chair. I don't think I'm ever going to get it back at this rate..

What? It's on The Chair, MY chair. That makes it mine.
