Leo had been on his tree in the window and Star was sitting up by the door. The Snarky Squirrel (who torments them daily) must have been getting close to the door and Leo wanted to get up close and personal with him! He stepped down to the chair and I thought that was as far as he'd go but he wanted closer.
He stepped down off of the chair to share the door with Star. At first, he looked at her to see if she was going to object.
When she didn't, didn't even look over at him though you know she knew he was there, he vigilantly gave the critter the stare down.
He didn't last very long. I suspect the critter left. Wouldn't you when faced with two drooling, staring, intent predators? Even if they are just big puffballs behind screen!
Once Leo was back in the chair, Star finally decided to acknowledge him. I think he could have lived without that notice.
Didn't I tell you it was a good weekend?? Cool huh?

That snarky squirrel did good if it got Leo to sit quite close to Star - will it be snuggles next??
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Hey Leo! You know Star only has power over you because you give it to her! I read that in a human self-help book! Does that help?
Good stuff on the bird TV is worth a temporary truce. Hopefully the truces become less and less temporary.
I agree with Cats Hered You. Sometimes Bird and Squirrel TV effects a truce between warring factions such as you and Star, Leo. YOu two keep on working on that. xoxox
That squirrel figured out who he's messing with...that's why he called a truce!
that was SUPER COOL!!!
All right! That was pretty cool!
good job kitts!! gotta protect the homestead from squirrels (even if that means sitting close to each other)
Hopefully those squirrels will come around often and then Star and Leo will join forces to protect their territory from intruders. That way they will become friends without even realizing it!! :)
the critters in the cottage xo
another awesome step! W2G!
That really is terrific you two!
Doesn't it feel good being so close?
Purrs,
Kitty
We couldn't see the naughty critter. Was he in any of the photos? Our squirrel here are never bothered by any of us. We think you've seen photos on our blog. Don't let him get the better of you. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
Way to watch Squirl TV together guys!
We hope that was more a surrender than a truce!
