I wish I wish I wish I had stopped watching with my mouth hanging open and had grabbed the camera.. Of course, it was such a short time that I would have totally missed it by the time the camera was ready to shoot and I would have missed seeing it too so.. I guess I made the right decision to just gape and watch the weirdest thing Star has done lately.
See this big bag?
This bag was not occupying this place. No, it was a good two or three feet from the chair on top of some boxes behind a paper bag where twin 1 left it.
As Greg and I were finishing dinner, we heard a noise. We looked over and there was our tiny little 6 pound kitty dragging this bag backwards with her teeth, over box and bag and gap to stop in HER chair.
Once she got it into the chair she backed up until it was in the position it's in now, which wound up with her half buried inside the bag. I laughed. She backed out of the bag and looked at me. Then at Greg. Then she ignored us both and started licking the bag with the abandon of a catnip addict in a pile of fresh nip.
Licking bags is not new to Star. She licks grocery bags all the time. Licking bags is not exclusive to Star, I know other cats who blog do it and I used to have another cat or two who loved it as well. But dragging the bag to a comfortable spot for the licking.. That's a first!
What's so wrong with wanting to be comfortable while indulging in a hobby?
And just because it seems to have been a little Star heavy on the blog lately, here's a gratuitous shot of Leo The Chinese Lion doing what he does best. Looking cute!
People love me too.. don't they?

A ladycat deserves her comforts!
Star is just very determined - I think that is a good quality for a kitty to have!
It's not a hobby, Star. It's a ...errr....fetish! purrr...meow!
Hey, you gotta have the bag in the right spot for licking! :)
Diego-san is our bag licker but obviously he could take lessons from Star.
I don't know who's cuter, Star with her bag or Leo with his fevvers!
Have a good weekend!
Tom
Leo...love you bunches. Of course people love you too.
Star, you just a girlcat putting things to rights. xox
Star knows what she wants... the perfect seat for a lick!
Our now-gone cat Louie had a thing for bags, too, but he only really dragged them when he would get stuck in the handles. I never got a picture of that, either. Sometimes, you're so busy laughing (or trying to detangle things) that you just don't think about a camera!
too cute!!! The vet told me that cats are doing this to bags now because they are actually made with corn syrup! :)
That's too funny! Our human is nodding, saying all the best kitty moments happen when there's no camera handy!
Star obviously knows what she wants and won't be put off with second best.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
It will be evident to any kitty that this bag is better where it is now!

Mom misses a lot of good stuff too....we're too quick for her!!!
The Florida Furkids
too funny!!! but hey - a girl has to do what a girl has to do!!
At least Star keeps her "bag addiction" out in the open for all to see!! Heehee :)
Leo, you are as cute as always!
the critters in the cottage xo
That made us laugh! So absolutely adorable.
Tee Hee! She is a sweetie. Me likes to be comforatble when indulging too!

Of course we love you Leo! Bags are simply the best though!
The Fang Shui must've been REALLY bad in the bag's original spot!
How funny. Love gray kitties, they are one of my favorites!
Star that was so neat!

Well, Star. Re: your "hobby." Guess the cat's out of the bag.
Great posts! I've been behind & so had to catch up, so no specific comments, just general appreciation. Head-bonks --Bugs n Barney
of course one must be comfortable while working on their hobby :)
Leo, you are very handsome!
Pip, Smidgen, Minnie, Hollie
Well, of COURSE comfort is paramount when indulging in such an impawtant pastime as bag-licking. I have never understood the allure of that particular activity (maybe it's a girl-cat kind of thing? related to the shopping gene in Human females?) but I respect a good bag-licker and you look like a champ!
Oh yeah, Leo. Hi, Pal. Now move over, and let Mommy take some more Star pictures, okay?
That's funny. Good for Star! She knows how to tackle a bag with style.
If they bring it into your house it belongs to you!
Nubbin wiggles,

I'm impressed. TW probably would've yelled at me to stop.
