Window Weekend

There's so much to look at out of the windows. Especially when there's somewhere easy to sit in front of it. We don't yet even have window sills for them to sit on. That makes two of the windows inaccessible except for standing on back legs and hanging onto the edge of the window. Star, of course, is too short to do this. But Leo has done it more than once. Not for long enough for me to grab a camera... but he does it.

Of the other two windows, one has a chair near it, but they don't seem to like sitting there. Probably because of the breeze from the unsealed part of the door and untrimmed window.. it's chilly is what I'm saying. The last window has never been view-able because it has an air conditioner. But now that my sewing machine cabinet is in front of it, it's the window of choice! And boy does it have squirrel TV galore! They love the tree behind the house and the fence and the low phone wires!

At night, there's a whole new contingent of critters! Raccoons and possums I'm sure. Oh, and though I thought they hibernated(?) there are a ton of bunny tracks back there!
Whatever the critter, the kitties have been watching out the window a lot lately!

Star's turn in the window
Hello birdie, fly a little closer...

Squirrel!

Come back birdie!

Leo's turn
That black cat is back in the yard!

Where you goin' bucko?!

Come look at this brash trespasser!

Boy.. if I was out there, I'd show him who's yard this is...

King Spitty commands: Warm, comfortable, easily accessible viewing vantage points in front of each and EVERY window! What is this ridiculous business of having to hang by tippy-claws from a casement edge?? Preposterous!

10 lashes for your Humans each morning until the situation is remedied.

Make it so!

Windows are always the best for keeping your paw on what is going on!

Well done to your peeps for arranging furniture to suit the felines! Easy window viewing is a MUST.
Say, is that cool news about Trex? It made my day!

Oh we think you have great access to your windows! We are lucky nearly all of our windows go to the floor so we can see on the ground and look out.

We had a stray cat come into our yard last week. We kind of freaked out.

I don't know if they would be appropriate for your windows but there are shelf-like items made just for cats to look out of windows. They come in different varieties of course but some can fit onto a window without any nails or screws. I don't know if you've tried these, and they probably won't work for every window, but they may come in handy.

Star, darling! That second-to-last picture is sending out mixed messages! You have red for stop and green for go. What is a ManCat to make of this????
