I know my blog is about my cats, but for Livestrong day, I’m breaking tradition and I know you’ll all understand.

Livestrong day is all about raising awareness of a terrible disease, cancer. My background is yellow in honor of Livestrong day. Join me as I join so many others in honoring and remembering those who battle or have lost the battle.

My most recent losses

These are the youngest and oldest of my dad’s 7 siblings. Each fought to the end and lost their fight within weeks of each other. They are greatly missed.

Currently fighting

My dear cousin is doing well at the moment and just completed a breast cancer walk. Keep fighting Deni!

Recently had surgery, but doing well in her recovery! Keep it up, Marjie!

My own dad. Sir Moose-a-lot Roadkill Goodyear Thunderbottom’s daddy. (He can’t go to bed unless Moose goes with him!) Very recently he was found to have a soft tissue sarcoma the size of a baseball in his calf. He started chemo right away and he thinks it might be starting to shrink!

Friends who have fought and seem to have won their battles!

Our prayers and purrs go out to all those fighting still!

Thank you for sharing your story. We, too, have been touched by cancer, and we join you in imagining a world without it. What a wonderful world that will be.

Purrs, prayers and hugs to you. LiveStrong!
