Cashmere the Non-Model

I know there is a blooper day in the Cat Blogosphere somewhere.. But I think it's on the weekend and we rarely post on weekends. I admit I could be wrong about that because I didn't bother looking for it. But I have much to do today getting ready to add more things to the auction so I'm just going to go ahead and post Cashmere's bloopers today!

I think I mentioned somewhere about how Cashmere does not model anyway. I tried. I try, honestly I do. But she is a terrible model!

I can put hats on the other kitties and get pictures, it may take a few shots, but I can usually get it. But Cashmere! Holy smokes! I approach with a hat and her head follows, tilting back until she nearly falls over. I set it there, she flips it off before I can even get a finger on the button. She goes for my fingers, she thinks I'm playing and the hats are toys!


In this picture, I had actually got the hat on her, she flailed it off immediately. I do love her whiskers in this picture, even if everything is blurry because she's moving.

Cashmere: Hey! What is that? Where did you put the toy??

 

 

This was an 'almost got it!' The hat was on her head, but she wouldn't hold still until it flopped off again!

It's touching me! It's touching me! Must. Get. It. Off!

 

 

 

 Look! In focus! (mostly) Eyes not lasering! (much) Cute look! (completely!) Showing off her double colored eyes! (mostly, slightly burred) But the hat.. the object of the photo.. Can't tell what it is! (newsboy hat for the record)

Ok, you can take my picture. I'll even wave! Hi everyone!!!! How's it going? Thwart any humans lately? Heh heh heh

So I give. She doesn't have to model any hats for cats any more.

Oh Glitter.. Leo... Where are you??

While the hats for cats are not ready to be added to the auction, there is still a lot of cool stuff there! Books galore! Neat kitty stuff! And hopefully by Friday, some amazing framed pictures!

Monday Mewsings

Cashmere: Ya know, I don't usually mind boxes, but when they start invading my good nappy spot.. Do you have an explanation for this, mom, or at least a plan to move it? I'd like to stretch out now, thank you very much.

Ok, Cashy, I admit, there are more boxes and packing materials in the living room than there should be. But it's all in a good cause! Wonderful things for the auction take space! Daddy will make sure you have a good nappy spot soon though, ok? You can stop scolding me now.. Please?

Cashmere's crowding is good news for you! Because it means more wonderful things for the auction! I think I'll wait until later in the week to add more, but I have a question for you all.

Princess Cowgirl Fez-man

Kitties do NOT make it easy to get the pictures you want, do they? That's especially true of Glitter as I try to get some 'catalog' shots of some items that will be in the auction at some point.
I don't know how Summer's mommy does it!

Glitter: I know I'm a princess, but that doesn't mean I'm going to let you get any in focus pictures!

Glitter: Alright, you cow pokes, time to get this wagon train a-movin'! Git along, little kitties!

Cashmere will not pose AT ALL. I got one of Leo, but he's not thrilled about posing for the next one. I may have to sneak it on him when he's sleeping..

Leo: Ok, so what's my motivation? Am I the Doctor? Or the Grand Pooba down at the lodge? And wait a second.. what do you mean 'the next one comes with gold chains?" I think I gotta get outta here!

Speaking of the auction.. (like how I did that there?) While the hats for cats are not ready to go on the block yet, there are many many awesome things awaiting your shopping pleasure!

Today's throw back is from June 30th, 2014 and was called "Furry Visitor"

There were one or two days of open doors around here (and boy do we wish they were back!) and Leo found, or tried to find... a furry pal!

You wanna talk teeth, pal? I ain't trustin' those fangs of yours, not one bit! Please stop looking my way so I can scamper away when you're not looking.

Yeah, I know he's hard to see, it's from across the room through a screen door, but if I got any closer I'm sure he would have run.

I know there's a lot on the auction right now, so I think I shouldn't add any more for a while.. Even though I have a lot more books and some gorgeous kitty framed prints and more, just more!

Is It Over?

Cashmere: Are the boom boom boomers done? Is it over?

 

 

Cashmere: I'm not coming out from UTB* until I have assurances that peace will reign once again. That stuff was way too loud!

Poor Cashmere, I'd like to assure you that it's over. And it should be since it's the 5th now. But knowing our neighbors.. it wont be over until sometime in August! Sorry girl. Although if past years are anything to go by, there wont be as many every night from now on. Last night was the big one (I hope)

Sorry for the false hopes that the books would be on the auction yesterday! I was trying to hint that they'd be up later in the week.
It's taking me longer than expected to get them photographed and written up as auction item posts! A wonderful, generous, friend of Chrystal's and Winnie's Wishes' sent me three boxes of books to put in the auction! This on top of the three giant boxes of other items, of which only one box has been added to the auction so far! Give me a few days and I'll have lots more up!

In the meantime, there's lots of items for your bidding pleasure up now! Don't forget to click the 'older posts' button on the bottom because there are three pages of items so far!
