Kitty Play

Who doesn't love to watch kitties play with each other?? I love it, LOVE IT!

I have been trying to show wonderful pictures of how my kitties are getting closer and closer. And now I have pictures of them playing together! Don't be misled, this was not fighting, this was pure play and it was adorable!


It started with Glitter laying down taunting Leo to come over and play. He answered that call. Cashmere sat under the bench and watched.

Glitter: Is that all you got? Bring it on mancat!

Leo: Oo now I'm gonna give you some real smackies!

Cashmere: Smackies? Those look like powder puff paws from here..

Leo ran away, then came sniffing back. Glitter's tail twitched and she taunted him. Cashmere watched.

Leo: I don't know how, but I know you're cheating somehow..

Glitter: Oh? Were there rules?

Cashmere: I didn't hear any rules.

 

 

Leo took off again. Glitter flipped her tail and waited. Cashmere watched.

Glitter: He'll be back.. Just you wait.

Cashmere: Oh I know. He's pretty bouncy, but persistent.

Oh yeah, he came back from outta nowhere! Glitter was ready. Cashmere watched.

Leo: HA! GOTCHA!

Glitter: Then why is my foot in your face?

Cashmere: She's got a point there, bro..

Leo thought he might just try an easier target. Glitter seemed disgusted at being abandoned. Cashmere watched and might have considered the request to play. Briefly.

Leo: Hey, you wanna play? I bet you play fair.

Cashmere: Let me think abou... Naaaa.

Glitter: Hrmph! *I* was playing with you!

Leo tried a higher vantage point. Glitter started to get bored. Cashmere watched.

Leo: I could get a really good pounce from up here!

Glitter: Oh you just try it, buddy, and then kiss your oversized super long tail goodbye!

Cashmere: Aw Glitter, don't be jealous just because you have the shortest tail..

 

 

Glitter left. Leo laid down and crashed. And Cashmere got more comfy and watched.. until she fell asleep too.

Leo: All that attacking really wears ya out..

Cashmere: So does being a vigilant watcher.. Right?

 

Sure does! Hope you all have a good weekend full of naps!
(I love how you can see so many of Leo's extra toes in that last picture! Especially the back foot, which he usually hides from me!)

Here comes some more wordless.

I'm working on a fundraiser for Winnie's Wish and I'd like a little feed back. I'm planning cat beds but there are a couple ways I can do them. Should I give options for flat mats or regular beds or will that just confuse things?
The beds I'm making are flannel, but I also just started making some cute crocheted beds. Should I make them separate fundraisers? One now and one after Christmas?
All of my past fundraisers have been $15, but the beds take a little more material costs, is $20 too much for a home made cat bed or should I go $18? You know that everything above material and postage goes to Winnie's Wish but I also want to keep the price reasonable for everyone who is interested. Any feedback would be appreciated.
The fundraiser will probably start next week, if not this weekend.

Halloween Kitties

My niece, Twin 2, suggested that I should post her kitties for Halloween.

I suppose they do fit a Halloween theme, since both of them are solid black kitties. So I said sure!

Her first kitty was Midnight, called Middie most of the time.

Middie likes to help.

After they got married, Twin 2 and her hubby got another little black kitten. Selina Kyle.
(Guesses where that name comes from?)

Selina likes to help too. She heard there was a mouse at the computer.

Middie and Selina weren't sure what to think about each other when they met.

Here they are thinking about playing with each other, or the socks someone carries around.

They get along wonderfully now. These sweet little black kitties!

I wish I'd been able to get the video of them playing, it's awfully cute! Maybe someday.

This Is Better!

Ok, so you know that crappy cell phone picture taken in low light that I posted on Friday?
Awful, I know.
I just loved seeing Leo and Cashmere so close!

Well, I have much better for you today!!

Last time I said they were barely touching.. This time I think this is, if not snuggling, then very close to it!

Just a quick aside here. Do you see what Leo is doing? He's hugging his tail and both back feet!

Uh oh, the camera must have disturbed Leo! Better stop taking flashy pictures!

The weather has been cooling off around here. Dare I think that when it gets into the middle of the winter we might find THREE grey kitties snuggled up together?? Oh I hope so, I really hope so!

Ah, Togetherness!

I've  been posting pictures lately of my three kitties getting closer together. Yes, they are all siblings, but I've had Leo for three years and the girls roughly half a year. I had wondered if they'd remember each other. Even if they didn't/don't, I figured that since they got along so well when they were together in the Winnie's Wish cathouse that they'd soon be friends here.

They have gotten along, and they have had moments of play. Then I went into the rehab facility and wasn't able to keep track of how they were progressing. Now that I'm home, I've been watching how they interact. I'm thrilled to see them sit in windows and doors together and I love to see them play. But no snuggles.

Until the pictures I posted yesterday. Glitter and Cashmere all lovey and napping together. That was wonderful!

And now this!

That's Cashmere, who was sleeping there all nice and comfy. Leo was trying to sleep practically on my neck, which is fine for a while. But then I had to do something and I nudged him down. He stopped when he saw Cashmere there in a spot he likes to sleep in.

Then he decided that getting the spot was more important than having it alone! So he slowly, carefully, settled in next to Cashmere. Not quite snuggled together, but they are touching! Makes my heart sing!
