Santa Watch

 

 Leo: Are you out there Santa? We been really good, we need some nip! Daddy put the 'tree' up and now we need something to put under it. I sure hope you can hear me because even though I have thumbs, I can't write!

It's been a rough year health wise around here, Greg's a mess, I'm a bit better than him but not at my best. Even Leo and Glitter have colds. So this might be the extent of our Christmas decor. At least it's cats!! So we're all good! 

The Winnie's Wish Holiday Auction ends Saturday at midnight! I have put up the last of the items and I hope you see something you like. Think Christmas shopping for your cats, your friends with cats, or even for yourself!

And do you know why she's smiling? Because that's her daddy's leg she's up against. She adores him and loves to be touching him while she sleeps. He obliges her of course, and stays there as long as he can so she can have her happy sleeping spot.

Glitter Salad

 On this Thankful Thursday I thought I'd share some pictures that I've been meaning to share since the end of summer... It's one of Glitter's favorite things, something we call Glitter Salad. We also call all flowers and plants Glitter Salad and that's why we can't have any in our house.. she thinks everything is for her and is yummy. 

Glitter: *sniff sniff lick lick sniff snuffle nibble* Oh thank you for this amazing bounty! You know how much I love fresh salad like this!

Glitter: Oh lookie, one left in the 'shell' for me! I see that you're busy so I'll just help myself.

 

Glitter: *munch munch gnaw nibble slurp gulp* tough salad.. but I still love it! 

Greg: Hey! That's not yours!

Glitter: Of course it is, see, it's in my mouth, that makes it mine!

Cashmere: Is that the last one?

Glitter: Looks like it.

Cashmere: Is he going to give it to us when he's done?

Glitter: Yes! Oh yes! I just know that he'll hand over the munchy leaves and the tender corns too!

Cashmere: Are you being delusional again?

Glitter: Hopeful, it's called hopeful!

Cashmere, History tells me that he's gonna put the tender corns into boiling water and take away the munchy leaves..

Glitter: History be damned! He has to know that putting the tender corns into boiling water makes them unappealing to me, I mean us. And why take away the munchy leaves when we can take care of them right here?

Cashmere: I'm not convinced that they care what we think about what they do with our salad things..

Glitter: Don't be absurd!  Everyone knows that everything is for the kitties!

Cashmere: Then let's tell him about it. Loudly.

Glitter and Cashmere: PLEASE!!! GIVE US THE SALADS NOW!!

Unfortunately, they did not get the salads.. Poor girls. But Glitter did steal her share of nibbles, for which she is always grateful!

Two For Tuesday

 My girls, Glitter and Cashmere, are not cuddly with each other. Truth to tell, Cashmere doesn't want to snuggle or sleep with anyone but her humans. Oh, they like each other well enough, but they don't sleep together. Both of them will grudgingly sleep next to Leo, who grudgingly accepts it, on rare occasions. But the girls, no, they do not sleep together. 

And then this happened.

 

Cashmere: You know, there's plenty of room up here for both of us. If you'd just move your butt over just a little...

Glitter: That is my butt's spot, Find your own butt's spot or squeeze in anywhere my butt isn't, either way, suit yourself. 

Cashmere: Fine, I guess I'll just take this tiny spot next to you..

Glitter: Don't snore, it'll disturb my sleep.

Cashmere: I'm not the one who snores, sister!

Glitter: Rumors of me sounding like a misfiring pickup truck with no muffler are exaggerated hyperbole.

Cashmere: That's not what mom says....

Glitter: Do you want to sleep on the floor?

Cashmere: Ok, ok, I wont say anything else. ..wonder where I can find some cat sized earplugs..

Glitter: That's it! Looking for a bedtime snack, cause I got a claw sandwich with your name on it!

 

 

 They did not succumb to pawticuffs that time, and Glitter really only looks cranky, she has resting crank face.

I added some new beds just now. You might notice that there are several blue ones all in a row. I did that on purpose because two of them have similar names, but are very different shades of blue. Cozy Cashmere?

 Ok, so I gotta ask.. What is it with silly cats sleeping on things that do not look comfy at all? Seriously, we have five bazillion comfy cozy spots for sleeping and THIS is where Cashmere chooses to nap!

 

 

Cashmere: What? It's soft and squishy and it makes cool rustling sounds when I settle in to sleep.

 

 

Cashmere: Perfect for napsss...zzzzZZZZzzzzz
