Caturday Art

I'm starting to get into this Caturday Art stuff! This week I decided to use a picture of Glitter vulturing on the step up to the Celestial Skyway. She was guarding the hall from above while Cashmere was sprawled out on the floor. I swear you could almost hear them saying "None shall pass!" Hee hee!

Throw Back Thursday

Today's ThrowBack Thursday post is from August 17, 2013. I had almost missed Black Cat Appreciation day! Unlike THIS year when I actually DID miss it... So here's a salute to Black Cat Appreciation Day, a day late, but with lots of love!

It should be noted that the two gray cats I'm talking about were Star and Leo. Now I have two gray cats, Leo and Glitter, though Glitter is a tiger under all that fluff. Cashmere is a gray and black tiger, so maybe she counts too! Oh, and Twin 2 now has TWO black kitties, Middy shown today, and Selina Kyle, not shown.

This was titled, of course, Black Cat Appreciation Day!

It almost slipped by us! But we caught wind of it at the last moment! We're very black cat friendly around here. After all, Blue cats, which is what our grey kitties are called, are really dilute black kitties! So you could really say I have two dilute black cats, hee hee!

I did have a real black cat before. Well, more than one, but my sweetie was a black cat named Calvin. I wrote about him some time back. (Find that post here)

Today I want to share pictures of my niece, Twin 2's, black kitty. A pretty little girl named Middy. I haven't met her in person, but I have some pictures Twin 2 shared with me.

I know they're somewhat blurry, but they are cell phone pictures. You can still see what a cutie she is!

I hope you have a great Black Cat Appreciation Day, even if you don't have a black cat at the moment!

Pimpin' Bonnet

Remember back a bit when I showed 'trying' to get my kitties to model some of the upcoming hats for cats that will be on the auction someday (soon hopefully)? It didn't go great..

Not one to learn from previous lessons, I tried again!

Leo: Well, you warned me that the next one came with gold chains.. Am I pulling off the whole pimpin' look? I like the feathers anyway, even if you won't let me nibble them!

I finally got Cashmere to model! Sorta...

Cashmere: A bonnet? Really? A ruffly purple bonnet.

It wasn't quite finished when I stuck it on her, that's what all the strings are about. It also didn't have the ties to make a bow under her chin. I didn't know if her ears were down because she hated it (undeniable) or if it was too small, so I remade in a larger size, with ear holes further apart and larger. I have yet to get that one on anyone.

Cashmere: I'm not going to look at you again, so you can stop taking pictures..

 

Well, I tried! Perhaps your kitties are better about such things?

Speaking of the auction!!
I made some changes over the weekend. The looooonng list of books is gone and they are back in groups or 6 or 7! Some of the prints are down, awaiting better packaging for better postage rates, they'll be back up soon I hope. There are also a few new things as well as some other interesting items. Maybe you had a hard time looking through everything before because of all the books? It should be better now, so please, take a fresh look at the Winnie's Wish Insta-Auction site!

Leo Hugs

Just a quick picture today! A sweet one of Leo hugging 'his' pillow. It's actually my pillow. One I rest my arm on when I'm typing on my laptop. He recently discovered that Cashmere likes to sleep on it, so it must be good. Thus he has taken it over and he gets quite grumbly when Cashmere has it!
He also gets grumbly when he's there and I'm typing, like right now.. Yes, I'm being grumbled at while I post about him... That's my boy.

The reason I'm just posting a quick picture is that I've been working on the Winnie's Wish Insta-Auction. As I said last time, I am taking down the books and some of the prints in order to bundle them. Hopefully this makes the page easier to navigate so people can find everything, and also hopefully inspires more bids!

At the moment, there are just two pages of items up, but they are all good ones! Have a peek, you might see a treasure you may have missed before!
