Yeah, if I had more ambition at the moment I'd finish the song. Instead I'll get to the answer to yesterday's question!

We had guesses of nip, guesses of vine, a guess of a new kitty!

Those who guessed silvervine were correct! Yay!!!

We got the 'vine to offer in Winnie's Wish Summer FUNdraiser toys, but of course we had to do a quality control test first, right? Let me tell you right now, it was a HIT! Yow! Especially with Star!
I'd seen other people put a pinch on a washcloth and give that to their kitties, so that's what we did. I'm telling you, a tiny pinch was enough to send them into raptures!

There are more pictures, I'll share them another day, but wow! I did not expect this big of a reaction! Even Leo got his cloth all wet, though not as soaked as Star got hers! Leo kicked his a lot, Star rubbed on hers a lot. Two different reactions, two satisfied kitties. Two GIANT naps afterward!

Thank you everyone who stopped by my BIG BIRTHDAY PARTY yesterday! It. Was. AWESOME!

Hello kitties, doggies, humans and other critters! I am THREE today!

Yeah! It's muh BIRTHDAY!

 

 

My mommy says I’m a big handsome mancat now and I should try to not be so shy and stuff, especially around the ladycats. hee hee So I’ma gonna try!

And to start tryin’ I’ve been a lot more bold around a certain Princes Hissyface Star lately! I walk right up to her, even when she sees me coming! I’ve been sniffing her a lot and she’s been sniffing me back. About time, mommy says, since I’ve been here since I was 9 months old!

I guess it took me a while to realize I am a big guy and I don’t have to be pushed around by a tiny little female dictator!

In honor of being a big bold I-can-do-what-I-want mancat, I did this today:

Leo: See, I can be close to you without us having problems.

Star: Your timing could be better...

 

Leo: I'll avert my gaze like a gentleman.

Star: It's called a leg, goober.

 

 

That’s right, ol’ Hissyface was takin’ a baff on the bed and I jumped up, bold as brass, and laid down right by her! And she didn’t even hiss at me! She tried to glare holes through my fur, but I just laid there and basked in mommy’s praise for being a good boy!

Ok, ok, Star was praised for being a good girl too, but *I* was the one who started the bed sharing, so I’m the better good one, right? Hee hee!

 

So ok, how about everyone comes over to our house for a huge party! Whooo!! All the usual goodies are here, hams, chickens, turkeys, fishies even though I can’t have them, and drinks galore! We got milk, valerian root beer, ‘vine tea, and nip brandy!

 

There’ll be dancin’ and catterwallin’ til the cows come home! See you all soon, Whoo hoo!!!!

My Butterfly's Back And You're Gonna Be In Trouble

Hey la, day la, my butterfly's back!

Yes, that's what Star is singing! I mentioned that she's been SUCH a clinging vine to me lately. It might have been partly because as I also mentioned she hadn't been feeling the best with her allergy rash acting up. But apparently a big part of it was... I stole her butterfly blanket to soften the bench I use when I sew. It was NOT in the place she wanted it and not folded up to be extra soft and not resting on top of a few pillows and not near an open window. That's a lot of 'not's for a princess to put up with!

I learned my lesson, I put it back.

Can you believe the dirty nerve of some people?

 

 

No, I'm not flipping a claw. If I weren't a lady, I might..

 

 

Can you believe that my mom not only stole my butterfly blanket, but she kept sitting on it!

 

 

*THHPPPP* That's what I have to say about that!

 

 

Now that I got it back, I'm not letting it go again. Ever.

 

 

Now if you'll excuse me. I've been missing my butterfly naps.

Well now, I'm sure she won't mind if I borrow her butterfly blanket again if I have some more Winnie's Wish FUNdraiser Toys to make! I promise to give it back when I'm done this time!

Track Addendum

Star has been ducking the camera lately.. little brat-lette.. I tried to get more pictures of her with the track ball thingie, but she stops the minute the camera comes out. These two, at least she stayed on it instead of running up to me for snuggles!

Who batted the ball? Leo, did you bat the ball? I don't know nothing about batting the ball..

 

 

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Just try and prove otherwise. heh heh

 

 

Leo likes to run up to the track, whap the ball a couple times fast then dart off almost before you can even see him!
Here he's left an offering to his new favorite toy. (Of course, all toys are his favorites..)

Star hasn't been feeling her best lately. The weather has been up and down, air conditioner on and off, and I think that bothers her. It's probably why she's been so clingy. I can hardly sit down and she's immediately looking to sit on me. Her seasonal rash flared again so she's getting her coconut oil at least once a day. If she doesn't feel better soon, she might have to go see the dreaded vet, yikes!
