Flood Zone

It's been a while, but as it hasn't affected the kitty pictures it wasn't worth mentioning, but we had a flood. In indoor flood. The cap popped off of one of the water tubes in our bed. How fun is that?! Aside from having a flooded bed, we had a water fall through the dining room ceiling light fixture!

This happened right around the time I seriously buggered up my knee, so when we had to make a camp out bed downstairs, I wasn't whining too much. Not having to haul my poor aching knee up and down the stairs has actually helped that to heal better I think.

Someone else has been quite happy with this arrangement. Star has pretty much giving over possession of the upstairs bed to Leo since he insists on sleeping with us nearly every night. She never liked sleeping WITH us anyway, but she would come up for pets and then leave when she felt like it. But this downstairs bed. Well, that's about the best place to sleep during the day now!

I love the way she looks like she's about to fly off into the sky like a superhero!
Leave me alone or I'll go all ninja warrior superhero on your bum lady..

Leo is intrigued by the bed downstairs, but can't seem to make himself stay on it for more than a minute or two. In fact, it's almost impossible to get a picture of him on it. Here he is taking off quick just in case Star thinks it's her nap time.
Ya just never know... better safe than sorry!

We still don't have curtains, but since we're sleeping down here, we put some fabric panels over the windows. It's nice to not feel like I'm in a fish bowl for a while!

Leo likes the new viewing opportunity. Stealth style.
No one knows I'm here! hee hee hee

It sounds like an exciting adventure for Star and Leo! Human inconveniences are pretty awesome.

That flood sounded horrible, so we thought we better check OUR waterbed. Apparently it has a liner what will just fill up with anny leaks. We think we are lucky.

That was a terrible misfortune. I used to want a waterbed but then, I always worried about what it would be like with a leak. I had several friends with them and they had leaks now and again. Star looks adorable and Leo..MUAH!

Something is always happening to set a kitty's world topsy-turvy! Our humans had a waterbed for a zillion years. We like the non-wavy bed they have now much better. Hoping and praying that things get back to normal very soon. Leo, It is nice of you to STAY THE HECK OFF STAR'S BED. You look pretty good in the window, though.

Star darling, You'd let ME share that beddie with you, right? *I* am not a Barbarian.
