Yeah, if I had more ambition at the moment I'd finish the song. Instead I'll get to the answer to yesterday's question!
We had guesses of nip, guesses of vine, a guess of a new kitty!
Those who guessed silvervine were correct! Yay!!!
We got the 'vine to offer in Winnie's Wish Summer FUNdraiser toys, but of course we had to do a quality control test first, right? Let me tell you right now, it was a HIT! Yow! Especially with Star!
I'd seen other people put a pinch on a washcloth and give that to their kitties, so that's what we did. I'm telling you, a tiny pinch was enough to send them into raptures!

There are more pictures, I'll share them another day, but wow! I did not expect this big of a reaction! Even Leo got his cloth all wet, though not as soaked as Star got hers! Leo kicked his a lot, Star rubbed on hers a lot. Two different reactions, two satisfied kitties. Two GIANT naps afterward!
I mentioned the Summer FUNdraiser above, so I'll just put the banner and link here and say that you can get your kitty toys with nip or vine, your choice! or, as one person did, two toys of each!

Mom makes catnip toys and so hasn't ordered any of the toys, but we are going to try to convince her to order some of the vine ones for the fundraiser. ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, you really liked the silvervine. Catnip doesn't do anything for me, but I'm not sure my mom would let me try silvervine. From your reaction, it sound pretty hard core!

This kitteh would NOT mislead you. Vine is divine and evil! I do a lot of rubbing but I also kick it. I love my new toys. Every cat should try it.

ReplyDeleteTo answer you about Lady's tail.Um I'm not sure,I think she is just a Mixed-breed like Star&Saphira.But I have no idea where her tail went.She might have been born like that,that can happen to some cats but it's kinda rare.Lady has also been abused really BADLY!!!!! By her old owner.And she (the owner might have "cut it off" like with Dogs's tails.Lady is also sadly declawed:-(

The Human says: The first time I gave Spitty the 'Vine, I didn't quite know how to "administer" it so I sprinkled some (TOO MUCH) on a little plate and he jumped up on the table before I could put the plate on the floor. He lapped it all up and turned into a crazed maniac. By the time he jumped off the table it looked like someone had spilled a 1/4 cup of water (his DROOL!!!) and he moaned and rolled around in ecstasy for at least half an hour. Then he ate a whole can of cat food. I have since been MUCH more conservative in my "doses" & do as you did here & put it on a washcloth. But I still think back to that first time and wish I'd video'ed it! XOXOXO
