Star's Birthday/Gotcha day!

This is Star's chosen birthday and gotcha day rolled into one! We don't know when her actual birthday is, but this is the one we chose for her as it's as close to her gotcha day as we could remember.

She was a two year old beauty when I first saw her and just had to have her! Little did I know she was not a 'free kitten' but instead, one of the mommies, who was also free, lucky me!

I hadn't been expecting to bring her home that day, but one of her pervious peoples was home and we had to take her then or miss getting her at all. There was no choice, no thinking it over, we took her. Poor darling girl, we just brought her into the house and let her go. I obviously had no idea how to introduce a kitty...

Star spent the first few days under or behind the couch until my uncle tipped it over for me. I scooped her up and put her in the laundry room where I made fast friends with her as she adores chin and ear scritches! Once we let her out into the rest of the house again, she made short work of declaring herself Top Cat!

She's been my baby girl and Greg's special sweetie ever since. I'm so glad it worked out for us to get her!

    Happy birthday, Star. I don't like that age-comparison chart; it doesn't seem very accurate. Besides, most cats feel younger than their ages, right? There's plenty of time for feeling old when you shoot right off that chart into your twenties.
