Cats, Bags, and Laundry Baskets

In the list of things that do not work when it comes to cats, Greg hit a trifecta. These may be some of the most obvious. And yet, Greg tried them anyway.

First, thinking he could keep a cat out of a laundry basket of freshly folded towels. (ok, any laundry basket of any kind of clothes, clean or dirty!)

Second, putting a bag on top of said laundry basket in the thought that it would keep the cat off the laundry. (This would be the same bag he'd been keeping just because the cats like to play in it.)

Third, thinking he would not be teased for not understanding these basic tenets of cat behavior! (Do you know how hard it is to tease, giggle, and snap pictures all at the same time?)

You may recall from last week, the large Olive Garden bag that the kitties were playing in? (Boy did I get heck for mistaking Star for Leo when all I could see was grey fur in a bag he'd been in previously! Yikes! Star, however, feels very loved and vindicated and revenged herself quite well as the rows of scratch marks down my hand will attest!)

Leo went looking for that bag after he discovered its previous place empty.

Hey... I thought this looked familiar..

This is my bag that used to be over there on the floor. Someone had the dirty nerve to move it!

If they think that's gonna keep me from gettin' in my bag, they're more crackers than a Nabisco company picnic!

Ya know, it feels a lot different up here on top of these nice soft beddy type thingies.

A guy could really curl up and nap here.  ...hey, what's this Princess Hissyface scent doin' in *my* awesome bag??

Oh geez... What if she thinks it's hers? What am I saying.. Of course she thinks it's hers! She thinks EVERYTHING is hers!

Ya know, I think I'll go nap somewhere else for a while... Not that I'm scared! No way! I just uh.. need a harder bed. Yeah, that's it! Big tough mancats like me don't need super soft squishy beds! Not all the time anyway.... Just like, when you know where the Princess is for sure. Heh..

*whisper* Don't worry, bag, I'll be back for you later, I promise! Once I make sure you know who doesn't know where you are!

Something tells me, Leo, that you know who will figure it out really soon.. Especially since she adores full laundry baskets!

Good job Leo taking over that bag but the nice towels etc. are probably more comfy. Hope you find the purrfect place for a nap. Take care.

How come we don't get fresh, soft laundry in a basket? Or paper bags? We're living in the wrong house!

Putting a BAG on top of a LAUNDRY BASKET? What was he doing, making a kitty magnet? 'Cause clearly it worked!

Wow, Leo you hitted the jackpot...a bag AND a full laundry basket.

But we thinks you shoulda stayed there...let the sisfur find her own place to nap!

I disagree! Sisfurs should always have first choice, MOL

Princess Hissyface should try relaxing and letting you have your bag in peace. Or...the Leo Mancave might do?
