Thankful Thursday and Anniversary

First up, Sir Moose-a-lot Roadkill Goodyear Thunderbottom is very thankful that his daddy, my dad, is doing really well! He's in physical therapy rehab now and they have given him a release date of the 23rd! His therapists think there is no reason he won't make that date as he's dedicated to getting back on his feet!

He won't get back on his chemo until next month maybe and won't start radiation on his spine until the incision is healed, so we're holding our breath there. But his spirits are up and he's working hard! Thank you all for purring and praying and sending good thoughts for him!
I can't wait for my daddy to get back home! But I hear that I might get to go up to see him in rehab! I think I'm a little nervous about that, but I'd get to sit on my daddy!! I miss him and his lap!

That's right, this place is so awesome that they let you bring up your pets for a visit! I wonder if there's a carrier big enough for 22 pound Moose... What an awesome idea though!

Next up. Today is our Anniversary! I'm very thankful for my wonderful husband Greg!

I'm thankful that he's the kind of guy who drove 16 hours to pick up my heart kitty. I'm thankful that though he didn't care for cats when I met him he's now become a great cat guy and Star's favorite human in the world. I'm thankful that he loves me as much as I love him. I'm thankful that 26 years ago I married my best friend, and he's still my best friend!

I'm also thankful for Chrystal and Winnie's Wish! She's an amazing lady doing an amazing job in the face of endless abandoned, hurting, feral, pushed aside, scared cats, turning them sweet, tamed, loving kitties, ready for homes of their own!
Her cathouse is full! She needs adoptions, and soon! Please look at the kitties on her sidebar and help find at least one of them a home!
You can also help them by joining in on the Summer FUNdraiser! Get your kitties some toys while helping the Winnie's Wish kitties!
While I may not mention this everyday any more, this FUNdraiser is ongoing! Just like the two previous ones (FUN FUN FUNdraiser and Christmas FUNdraiser), they'll remain open indefinitely!

Happy anniversary - and great news about your dad! I know that with humans, a lot of their recovery relies on their attitude, and it sounds like his is great!

Happy Anniversary!!! We are so happy that you have someone who's good to you. :)

One of our local friends has a very big kitty, and they bought a small dog carrier because he's too big for the cat ones!! You could try that :)

Being released so early is definitely a good sign for your father. It sounds like everything is progressing smoothly. I hope that continues unabated. I hope Moose gets to see hi, too. That's a good idea. Nothing raises spirits like a visit from a pet.

And happy anniversary! All good news today!

What a nice bunch of happy news! We are pleased by ALL of it, especially that Sir Moose-a-Lot will be getting to see his Dad soon ;-) Wow--maybe he could sit on a whole bunch of PT patients if he goes to visit? Well, the sturdier ones anyway--22 lbs. is like an extra-large turkey or something, right? Ha ha meow!

Hi Star Darling. Love you! XOXOXO

That's great news about your dad. So glad they let Sir Moose-a-Lot visit. What a terrific facility.

The nip butterfly we bought in your fundraiser is a HUGE hit with our new kitties, especially Gracie. :)
