My cousin Pam reads my blog daily. She used to sit and click on refresh waiting for my next post, and I bet she is today because she knows I'm posting about her! Hi Pam! hee hee
Pam has four rescued Pomeranians.
Pam does not, however, have any kitties. Which is why it struck me as odd when she told me she wanted to donate and get two sets of Winnie's Wish toys from the FUN FUN FUNdraiser. But hey, it's for a good cause, so I told her I'd bring them over after out trip to the shelter I told about yesterday.
When we dropped them off, she said they were for my other cousin, Michelle, who has two kitties, and for her sons, who live upstairs with one kitty. Well cool! I asked her to send me some pictures of the kitties with the toys and she did!
This is Lucy, she was seriously into the nip toys!
The second kitty is Sweet P. Not Sweet Pea, but P. The P is for Pam because Pam paid the vet bills that saved her life. Both Lucy and Sweet P were rescued off the streets.
Here's Sweet P with the toys.
Upstairs to the boy's kitty, Snoopy. Apparently Snoopy was far too wild to get any good shots of because he was in constant motion! They only got this one when he stopped to rest:
People who rescue or take in rescue animals are just awesome! That's why I wanted to do this FUNdraiser for Chrystal. I think she's amazing and what she does on so little money is beyond a miracle.
Aside from being in need of funds to run the cathouse, they are also in serious needs of really good homes for the cathouse kitties! Getting them anywhere in the country is not an issue! And a few kitties have gone to Canada, so that's not an issue either! So please, if you need a kitty, or know someone who does... send them over to Daily Dose!
The FUN FUN FUNdraiser will be continuing until the end of the month, so if you're interested, check it out HERE.
When I started the FUNdraiser, I had a wild thought that maybe, just maybe it would be great if we could raise around a thousand dollars. Then I told myself, no, think reasonably, then you won't be disappointed. So I said to myself, perhaps we can raise two or three hundred, that would go quite a ways to help.
As of yesterday, I have sent Chrystal two checks totaling over six hundred dollars! Thanks to all of you!!! You have no idea how much I appreciate every one of you! This has been so amazing! And we have a little more than half a month left of the FUNdraiser!
So it seems that my wild hope might actually be within our grasp, yes?
If you have donated, thank you so very much!! If you're still thinking about it, please make the decision to help the Winnie's Wish kitties and get your kitties some awesome toys at the same time! If you have facebook or twitter, please share the link to the FUNdraiser! Together we can make this happen!
Thank you all! And Thank you Pam and Michelle for donating and for letting me share the pictures and your kitty stories!
