Brrrr Kitty Skywalker

It's been chilly here! Brrrrr Blankets out! Which the kitties love of course.

Here's Leo's solution to the chill. Because no one wants a cold kitty nose!
*brrrzzzzzbrrrrr*

Here's a close up of what's going on..
He's pulled his tail up over his nose and is holding it there with his paw! He slept that way for quite a while. How the heck is he breathing???

On to our project:

Kitty Skywalker! I think I like that, thank you Katnip Lounge! MOL Or Catwalk... Oh I don't know! We'll have it nailed down by the time everything is.. nailed down!

We got the over sized sill on one window, wide enough for a kitty to sit even if the window is closed. No, not as big as a cat seat, but certainly good enough to rush to a window to see where that squirrel went!
(please ignore the garbage cans... no where else to keep the stupid things apparently..)

We put up the top walk on that same window. Leo's kitty tree window by the way.
The cardboard is a makeshift curtain for the evening sun which kills me!
Just until I get denim drapes made, after everything is done.

It doesn't look like it, but that's a 1x6 ledge/walk up there. Held by a 2x2 and (not shown) a couple of 6x6 blocks on the sides for more support. I didn't get a picture of the next step, because it was really short! But we put Star, a small cat, up top to see how she fit... She didn't. I HATE low ceilings! She couldn't stand, she was crouched down! I figured Leo might have to crouch a little, but Star should be able to stand...

So it's back off and we're reworking the details. We're thinking of putting a wider ledge inside the window space, that will lower the whole thing about 3 inches. Leo will still be a little squished.. but he can get to the next one which will be lower than the window. Then up again to go over the door, with maybe a wide area for a bed, then down again and around a corner.. and so on and so forth.

Hopefully we'll get something going tomorrow before or after my doctor appointment. A recheck of the knee I got shot. Which is doing great! So why am I going... hmm.. Anyway, hopefully more tomorrow!

So the FUN FUN FUNdraiser! Yes, there is still time! You betcha! You get five! count them FIVE great kitty toys in exchange for a minimum donation of just $15 to Winnie's Wish! Isn't that a great deal?!?!? You bet it is, so go here and see the details!

Looking forward to the completed Skywalk project!

For some reason your catwalk troubles reminded me of those tunnels that warn against tall trucks entering! Unlike kitties, they can't crouch!

I made a donation because this looks like a very worthy cause. Thanks for the offer of toys, but M says I have so many already.
