Thank You's and Togetherness

Thank you thank you thank you all for the purrs and prayers for my dad, for Sir Moose-a-lot’s dad and best buddy! His surgery went really well, they got the whole tumor and the nerve and two of the three veins/arteries are intact! And the two remaining vein/arteries are supplying the foot well enough, he’s got a better pulse there than he’s had for a while! He’s doing great, aside from post-op pain, but that won’t last! So thank you thank you again! Moosie thanks you too!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When we were getting ready to go on Monday, (We spent the night by the hospital since it was over an hour away and the surgery was at 7:30 and we didn’t want to drive that far that tired), the cat’s were kind of freaking a bit about all the running up and down the stairs.
Star has seen us pack before so she might have had an idea of what was going on. We haven’t gone anywhere overnight since we got Leo so he was clueless, but still freaked by all the activity.
They pretty much tried to stay out of our way and I assumed they were hiding. Greg, however ran across this scene:
They were both sleeping so sound that they didn’t notice him, even when he turned on the light to get the picture!
Of course, when he tried for another shot, Leo woke up and moved. But he stayed on the bed WITH Star!
Shocking!
Star must have woken up later, because niece 1, who was going with us, found this as she was packing:
I know it’s hard to see, but that’s Star in the drawer. Silly girl! That’s the first time I’ve ever seen her do that!
We are so pleased to hear that your Dad had good news following his operation. We hope he is not in too much pain but think that any discomfort is worth a good result.
It's a good thing you saw Star in the drawer or you could have been looking for her for a long time.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Cats are funny that way. Sassy has several beds, and other soft fluffy places to sleep. And yet her favorite most place is on top of the hard DVD player! Go figure.
